The Minneapolis Freeze powered past the hometown Antioch Coal Miners, 6-1, in the opener of the Triple A League Championship at The Coal Mine. Minneapolis starting pitcher Mark Walsh threw 9.0 innings of 7-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Freeze now lead the series 1-0.

Walsh went the distance for Minneapolis. He allowed 1 run on 7 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0.

"Mark did what Mark does," said Minneapolis manager Ben Jeffcoat.
