The Mississippi State Bulldogs managed to get by the Baylor Bears, 6-5, at Crowley College Grounds. Mississippi State second baseman Pat Rehm set himself apart with his performance. Ken McConnell picked up the win in relief for Mississippi State, while David Krivak took the loss. With the victory, the Bulldogs upped their record to 11-10.

Josh Christy delivered a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the bottom of the ninth to win it for the Bulldogs. For the game, Christy drove in one run.

"That was a good game -- all the way through," said Christy.
