One game in and the Triple A League Championship is already looking exhausting.

The Calgary Hitmen and the Calgary Cowboys needed 10 innings to settle Game 1, with the Hitmen finally taking the 13-4 victory at Cowboys Field. Excelling in the win was Calgary pitcher Ricky Sanchez, who threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The Hitmen and Cowboys are playing a best-of-7 series.

Calgary used the timely hitting of Ralph Nattrass to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Hitmen on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Ricky can bring it," said Calgary manager Brandon Ashley.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Cowboys Field in Calgary.
