Bison 2-1 Winners Over Mexico City
|
The Mexico City Luchadores wasted an inspired, 7-inning effort from starter Miguel Arroyo, falling, 2-1, to the Bighorn Bison at The Royal Grounds. The winning pitcher was 27-year old right-handed pitcher David Franco. He tossed 99 pitches over 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 8 hits. The save went to Mike Lake, his 14th this season.
Chris Crofts, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2061 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Crofts contributed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put Bighorn up, 2-0.
"Tough loss," said Mexico City manager Prince Percival Papenfuss. "The kind that burns a little inside."
The Bison, at 36-34, have now won 4 straight.
