Almost There: Boston On Cusp of Double A World Series Triumph After 3-2 Win

The 24-year-old rookie on the mound turned out to be the least of the Moose Jaw Canucks worries.
Giving a high-pressure playoff start to youngster Marco Grados seemed like a risky move for the Canucks, but it was one of the few things that went right at The Studio. Grados tossed 7 solid innings, but it was all for naught after Moose Jaw dropped a 3-2 decision. With the win, Boston took a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 Double A World Series.
Justin Alexander was the walk-off hero for Boston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Whitecaps catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Alexander said his team "played with determination."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Studio in Boston.
