Sycamores Need Extras to Top Hurricanes
|
Ryan Walser was in top form in a low-scoring contest between Indiana State and Miami. The Sycamores right-hander was named the player of the game in Indiana State's 2-1 win. Indiana State reliever Andy Hogg picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-2. Andy Cox was collared with the loss. Wade DesMarais nailed down his 2nd save.
Todd Angleton took Andy Cox deep in the top of the tenth. His solo home run put the Sycamores on top, 2-1. In all, Angleton had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Angleton said after the game.
Indiana State is 15th in the Ron Fraser Division with a record of 9-10.
