Seminoles Rally to Win
The Florida State Seminoles outlasted the Virginia Cavaliers, 10-9, in 10 innings. Aaron Gray played a key role, going 1-for-2 for Florida State. Florida State reliever Danny Hernandez picked up the win to move to 2-1. Doug Decker suffered the loss. The win elevated the Seminoles to 11-8.

Florida State got a knockout punch from Matt Edmondson. The pinch hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Gray told a Florida State Gazette reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
