Scottsdale Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in RLC
Riding the 3-hit performance of catcher Israel Jimenez, the Scottsdale Scorpions stopped the visiting Montreal Cardinals, 11-4, in Game 3 of the Rookie League Championship. Jimenez went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks for the Scorpions, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

Omar Ruiz helped out the Scottsdale cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the second baseman drew 2 walks in 5 plate appearances, while scoring 2 times.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Ruiz.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Scottsdale Stadium in Scottsdale.
