49'ers Pick Up 9-8 Win Against Houston
Josh McBroom was a major factor in the 9-8 Long Beach State win over Houston. The 49'ers left fielder went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. At 10-8, Long Beach State is in 9th place in the Cliff Gustafson.

In the bottom of the sixth, McBroom put his team in front with his 4th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came against Joe Weiss, made it 8-6, Long Beach State.

"What a game," said McBroom. "We needed every last run."
