Lighting Hammered by Jimenez, Drop Game 2 to Scorpions
The Scottsdale Scorpions defeated the Thunder Bay Lighting, 10-8, in Game 2 of the League Championship Series. Making an impact was catcher Israel Jimenez, who was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win moves Scottsdale into a 1-1 tie with Thunder Bay in the series.

A key moment came with two out in the top of the first. That's when Jimenez hit a fastball from Stuart Lindemann for a grand slam home run, putting Scottsdale up, 5-0.

"The key is not trying to do too much," said Jimenez.

Game 3 is scheduled for Friday at Scottsdale Stadium in Scottsdale.
