The Arizona State Sun Devils turned back the LSU Tigers, 4-3, at Ballpark of Aptos Hills-Larkin Valley College. Johnny Bird, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Arizona State reliever Alex Santiago got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Evan Bedard was tagged with the loss. The save went to Art Mull, number 4 for him.
