Bears Topple Aggies, 10-5

The Texas A&M Aggies got a superb performance from pitcher David Angulo, but the Baylor Bears still won the game, 10-5. Angulo was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball. Baylor reliever Greg Myers got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Jacob Gross was tagged with the loss. Baylor now sits in 19th place in the Cliff Gustafson at 7-11.
Baylor used the clutch hitting of Steve Morrison to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Bears the lead, 4-2. For the game, Morrison had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Morrison said after the game.
