Eagle Rock and Chicago got after it at Millennium Field.

The Eagle Rock Ridge Runners defeated the Chicago Eclipse, 10-3, in part because of catcher Aaron Mottola. Mottola was 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Ridge Runners. Andrew Shackleton, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed 3 runs on 9 hits in 9 innings.

With Eagle Rock leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Mottola hit a fastball from Mike Hursh for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Ridge Runners ahead, 4-0.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Eagle Rock skipper Paco Berroa.

With the loss, Chicago is 3-4.
