Blazers Handle Ramrods, Nab 6-2 Win
The Bloomington Blazers topped the Huntington Station Ramrods, 6-2, in Thurman Munson League action at Arson Arena. The standout performance belonged to Bloomington pitcher and St. Peters, Missouri, native Jay Vincent. Gil Dial, credited with the win in relief, is now 4-2. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 2.2 innings. With the win, the Blazers improved to 27-29.

The Blazers got a big at-bat from center fielder Alex Sanchez. For the game, Sanchez went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Bloomington a 3-1 lead.

"Jay was able to execute his pitches," said Bloomington manager Leo Dethwright. "Simple as that."
