West Island got a strong outing from Sam Hickey as the Jazz defeated the Vancouver Pioneers, 4-2, at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. Hickey yielded 2 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 6-6. The Jazz now have a record of 37-29 with the win over Vancouver.

George Patten, who finished 3rd in the TML in on-base percentage with .385 in 2054, had a direct impact on the outcome. Patten contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the second inning to put West Island up, 1-0.
