Luchadores Score Late to Upend Sasquatch, 8-3
|
Seattle wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Ozzie Pedro, falling to the Mexico City Luchadores, 8-3. Pedro threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The win was credited to former first round draft pick Dan Wallace in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Paul Massaro took the loss. The 5th-place Sasquatch now sit at 31-35.
George Deisinger provided a timely hit. The Mexico City pinch hitter delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Luchadores on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
"We maximized our offense today," said Mexico City skipper Prince Percival Papenfuss. "That makes everyone's life easier."
