The Buffalo Bison pounded the Maple Marauders, 14-2, at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. Josh Bye, who finished 3rd in the TML in doubles with 58 last year, had a solid game. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for the Bison. Jonathan Solano picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 1-0. The loss puts Maple at 3-2.

The Marauders had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Bison going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old center fielder Sam Bridgman came to the plate. Bridgman hit a 2-run triple on a 1-0 fastball from Maple hurler Shunso Takara. It was Bridgman's 1st triple of the year.

Maple manager Daniel Dillon said: "We'll put this one in the trash can and get ready for the next game."
