Victoria and Houston duked it out and the Vikings came out victorious.

The Victoria Vikings defeated the Houston Sting by the score of 10-7, with the biggest share of the credit going to center fielder Brent Fischer. Fischer went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for the Vikings on the day. The 6th-place Vikings lifted their record to 60-77.

The Vikings got a big hit from shortstop Ryan Pruett. Facing Houston pitcher Danny Umanzor in the top of the seventh, Pruett pounded a 3-run home run to center. His 8th home run of the season put the Vikings ahead, 10-3.
