Magicians Take Down Martians, 8-7
Baltimore Stadium played host to some dramatic action.

The Baltimore Magicians in 10 innings downed the Moonbeam Martians, 8-7, at Baltimore Stadium. Dennis Black led the way, going 4-for-5 for Baltimore. Baltimore reliever Victor Ayala picked up the win to move to 6-1. Carl Long suffered the loss.

The decisive blow was delivered by Erik Lambert in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 21-year old right-handed pitcher Carl Long to win the game for Baltimore. The home crowd went nuts.

"Was I getting worried?" said Magicians manager Teruo Sato. "Nope." Then he added, with a wink, "There was never a doubt in my mind."

Today's win puts Baltimore at 100-61, while Moonbeam falls to 132-29.
