| Garcia Leads Knights to Win | The Kingwood Knights bested the Chippewa River Chiefs by a score of 8-5, with left fielder Tobias Garcia getting the main credit. On the day, Garcia went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Knights. Kingwood reliever Justin Mommaerts picked up the win, bumping his record to 4-0. Elijah Cooke was collared with the loss. Kingwood bumps their record to 78-80 with the win.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when first baseman Danny Redding, who is tied for 3rd in the LBL with a .303 batting average, hit a double. The Knights went on to win.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Kingwood manager Michael Barnett.
