Bel Air Bats Cold in 4-0 Loss
|
Moose Jaw starter Vincent Cesena pitched effectively against the Bel Air Princes at The Nut House. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-0. Cesena yielded no runs over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 1 hit, walked 6, and struck out 10. His record improves to 1-0. Moose Jaw raised its record to 74-62 with the win.
Darrell Southcott had a big bases-clearing double for the Warriors in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Moose Jaw leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from Kyu-pyeong Kim and swatted a double to center. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Warriors ahead, 4-0.
Southcott called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
