The Asheville Moonshiners picked up a win at The Still, taking down the Seattle Sasquatch, 6-3. Starting pitcher Jeff Agin was a big reason why. In 7.2 innings, Agin surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 12 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. Steven Shiplack was called on to finish, recording his 8th save.
Corban Gravari helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-1, Moonshiners.
Said Asheville manager Baldassario Ardinghi: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
Asheville's record now stands at 23-34, placing them 6th in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division.
