| Vikings Squelch Warriors Offense in Shutout Win | Victoria and Winfield duked it out at The Barn and the Vikings came out victorious.
Victoria left-hander David Pensabene pitched his team to a shutout win, 3-0, over the Winfield Warriors. Zachary Schultz notched his 31st save in 34 chances.
Rich Vega, who is tied for 4th in the LBL in stolen bases with 36, helped out the Victoria cause in the top of the eighth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the second baseman went 2 for 5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"I like what I saw today," said Victoria manager Bernardo Moreno, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
The Vikings bumped their record to 97-61 with this latest triumph.
