5-Hit Barrage by Higgins
No matter what the Bel Air Princes threw at him, Kyle Higgins hit it. He easily handled Princes pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Emeralds triumph, 8-5, at Philip Banks Field.

"The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.

Told of Higgins's quip, Princes skipper Greg England said he "would take him up on that next time."

Kyle Higgins grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Edgar Arredondo in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.

This season, Higgins has banged out 99 hits in 329 at-bats for a .301 average with 18 home runs. He is getting on base at a .413 pace and his totals also include 57 RBIs and 68 runs scored.
