Knights Take Home 3-1 Win Over Chippewa
|
The Kingwood Knights earned a close win over the Chippewa River Chiefs, thanks in part to Ricky Morales. The Kingwood left-hander played a key role in the 3-1 victory. Tim Rose, credited with the save, is now 2 for 2 in save opportunities. Kingwood now has a record of 81-74 with the win.
The Knights got a big at-bat from designated hitter Marcus Harris. For the game, Harris was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave Kingwood a 2-0 lead.
"Tough loss," said Chippewa manager Pang Yip. "But that's how the cookie crumbles."
