Led by 21-year-old Juan Martinez, the Okanagan Lake Monsters knocked off the Charleston Panthers, 9-6. Martinez went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Lake Monsters. Jonathan Mejia got the win, improving to 8-5. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Denis Pisa notched his 6th save of the season.

With Okanagan leading 5-4 in the top of the seventh, Martinez hit a fastball from Rodolfo Brambila for a 3-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Lake Monsters ahead, 8-4.

"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Martinez told the Okanagan Citizen.

Okanagan currently is in third place in the TML HA Dick Williams Division at 91-64.
