Montreal got a terrific game from designated hitter Randy Daly. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Bloomington, 6-5. Daly slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Gil Dial, now 3-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. Jason Phillips collected save number 12.

Had Josh Beaty not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Beaty hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Blazers.

"I'm proud to wear a Bloomington jersey," Beaty told the Bloomington Today. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"

Bloomington now owns a record of 25-29.
