Good production from center fielder Benny Rodriguez helped the Eureka Hornets topple the San Francisco Earthquakes, 8-6. Rodriguez went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Hornets. Hicham Munoru, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 2 innings. Justin Soule nailed down the save.

With Eureka leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Rodriguez hit a fastball from Juan Hernandez for a 2-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Hornets ahead, 3-0.

"I try to not think too much," said Rodriguez.

The triumph puts Eureka at 35-21 for the season.
