Tornadoes Take Nail-Biter Over Blazers
The Kansas City Tornadoes outlasted the Bloomington Blazers, 5-4, in 11 innings. Roberto Navarro provided some punch at the plate for Kansas City. He hit 2 home runs. The winner was J.P. Larson in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Mario Moreno took the loss. Kansas City has a record of 33-31, placing them second in the Roberto Clemente League Central Division.

The decisive blow was delivered by Larry Allbaugh in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a solo home run off 34-year old left-handed pitcher Mario Moreno to win the game for Kansas City. The home crowd went nuts.

"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Kansas City manager Lewis Cannon.
