Elizabeth Town center fielder Andrew Butler had a good game, even if his team did not. The Thunder dropped a 5-4 decision to Brownsville at Bandits Grove. Butler went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Brownsville reliever Danny Correa picked up the win, while Sal Coronado took the loss for Elizabeth Town. Wayne Blanchard sewed up the save, his 6th.

Harvey McFadyen's at-bat in the bottom of the fourth inning was a big one for Brownsville. Coming to bat with one out, the bases loaded and Brownsville trailing 4-2, the designated hitter hit a 2-run single.

McFadyen told a Brownsville Daily News reporter that the win made him feel "upbeat about our team."

The Bandits saw their record improve to 59-73.
