Bush Wackers Edge NoBos, 5-4
|
The Brisbane Bush Wackers topped the Campo NoBos, 5-4, in RCL HA action at Baylor Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Brisbane pitcher and Monterrey, Mexico, native Edwin Preciado. Preciado, now 7-17, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. Oliver Price earned his 22nd save, after closing out the game.
Brisbane went up, 5-3, on Justin Fenton's 27th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Fenton hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Campo pitcher Alex Torres shaking his head.
"We found a way to get it done," Fenton said.
After today's action, Brisbane sits at 39-115; Campo slips to 83-71.
