| Bush Wackers Turn Back Dublin, 3-1 | The Brisbane Bush Wackers topped the Dublin Vikings, 3-1, with center fielder Jose Salgado playing a big role. Salgado went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Bush Wackers in the win. Brisbane reliever Gilberto Cotto picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-3. Austin Augsburger was collared with the loss. Brisbane, at 63-89, occupies 4th place in the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division.
Salgado contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Brisbane in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Salgado took a fastball from Austin Augsburger and stroked the home run to right. His 16th home run of the season allowed the Bush Wackers to leap in front, 2-1.
"We'll try to build on that win," Salgado told the Brisbane News.
