The Carmel Apples beat the Kingwood Knights, 10-4, at BLM Stadium. Carmel designated hitter Tom Ronca led the way. He belted 3 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring three times. Carmel reliever Willis Paulino picked up the win, raising his record to 13-4. Cesar Magana was tagged with the loss. The win hiked the Carmel record to 73-58.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Apples grabbed the lead when Ronca hit his 29th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Cesar Magana made it 5-2, Carmel.

"We hit the ball on the barrel," said Carmel manager Hi-yuan Pan.
