| Mustangs Turn Back Winfield, 3-1 | The San Angelo Mustangs got a stellar performance from pitcher David Diaz, who handcuffed the Winfield offense en route to a 3-1 win at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. Diaz, the winner, moves to 3-1. He threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. Brandon Swift converted his 6th save in 9 tries.
The Mustangs got a big at-bat from shortstop Stephen Todino. For the game, Todino went 1-2 with a double. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 28th double of the season gave San Angelo a 2-1 lead.
