Montreal Gets 6-2 Win Against Bison
|
The Montreal Mounties rode a solid performance from 28-year-old starting pitcher Evan Tedford to a win, beating the Buffalo Bison, 6-2, at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. Tedford, now 3-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. Montreal is now 32-23. Buffalo is 34-20.
An inflection point occurred with no one out in the top of the second. That's when Mounties catcher Jean-Louis Barrier hit a sinker from Jamie Hansen for a 2-run single. Just like that, Montreal was up, 3-2.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Barrier said after the game.
