St. Petersburg Keeps Trending in Wrong Direction
|
The Oconomowoc Five O's beat the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 4-2. Oconomowoc pitcher and St. Louis, Missouri, native Ray Thompson led the way. Thompson yielded 2 runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 11. His record improves to 13-5. St. Petersburg is in the throes of a long losing streak, which is now 9 games.
Dave Terrell contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a single. His at-bat helped Oconomowoc get the win.
"If you chase it, you need to get it," said Oconomowoc skipper Evan Thorne.
