River Bandits Hand Knights 3-2 Loss
|
San Antonio River Bandits starter Mike Englund was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Ocala Knights, 3-2. Rusty Campbell closed it out for San Antonio, earning his 16th save. San Antonio is in first place in the RCL A Tommy Lasorda Division with a record of 73-55.
San Antonio used the timely hitting of Chris Weeter to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the River Bandits on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It was just a matter of executing," said San Antonio manager Lemn Onkwani.
