| Black Squirrels Score Late, Stun Road Warriors, 2-1 | Zenzo Yokoyama never let the Road Warriors get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Black Squirrels to a 2-1 win. Tree City reliever Jaime Tait picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Dave Cespedes was saddled with the loss. After today's action, Tree City sits at 68-80, while Westside falls to 77-72.
The Black Squirrels got a big at-bat from right fielder Craig Norris. For the game, Norris went 2-3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 71st hit of the season gave Tree City a 2-1 lead.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Norris told the Tree City Gazette.
