The San Francisco Earthquakes called upon starter Jeff Agin, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Montreal Mounties, 3-0. San Francisco has 3 straight wins, Montreal 3 straight losses.

In the top of the eighth, J.N. Martin stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Mounties were trailing 3-0, but had the bases loaded. That's when Junior Baxter made a terrific pitch and Martin grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Montreal comeback.
