Bush Wackers Tack 5-2 Loss on Dancin' Outlaws
|
It might have been a rain-shorted game, but Bush Wackers fans didn't seem to mind as long as their team got the win.
Benefiting from Pat Ringler's productive game, the Brisbane Bush Wackers downed the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws, 5-2. Ringler went 3-3 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Bush Wackers. Efrain Pereyra picked up the win in relief for Brisbane, while Alan Tyree took the loss. Esteban Castaneda notched his 2nd save in 4 chances.
Brisbane used a well-timed hit by D.J. Reinhardt to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Bush Wackers ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
Reinhardt attributed the win to his team's "tenacity."
After today's action, Brisbane sits at 56-70; West Virginia slips to 74-52.
