| Road Warriors Continue Skid Thanks to Romero, Bush Wackers | The Brisbane Bush Wackers defeated the Westside Road Warriors, 14-4, at Road Warriors Field. Brisbane right fielder Lorenzo Romero was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 doubles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 6. Ramiro Marin got the win, improving to 7-7. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 4 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 4. Westside's current losing streak is now 4 games.
The Bush Wackers got a big at-bat from center fielder Jose Salgado. For the game, Salgado was 2-5 with a double and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. In the top of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 45th hit of the season gave Brisbane a 2-0 lead.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Salgado told a Brisbane News reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
