Tullos Stars in Saints Win | The St. Paul Saints grabbed a 7-4 win over the Eugene Emeralds at Prefontaine Park. St. Paul designated hitter Matt Tullos was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 to earn player of the game honors. St. Paul reliever Jack Nodell was the winner. His record is now 7-3. Pablo Baca took the loss. Kevin Hargrove was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 20 of 26 save opportunities.
One important at-bat for St. Paul came with two out in the top of the ninth inning. With the bases loaded, Tullos hit a 2-run single, which contributed to the Saints win.
"If we play well, we'll win our share of games," said Tullos. "The only team that can beat us is us."
