In a low-scoring clash between West Virginia and St. Petersburg, pitcher John Heyes was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned praise for his performance in the 3-1 Dancin' Outlaws win. The loss makes St. Petersburg 27-115.
Chris Parsons had a big run-scoring double for the Dancin' Outlaws in the bottom of the fourth inning. With West Virginia leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Joel Holt and swatted a double to left. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dancin' Outlaws ahead, 3-1.
Heyes said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
