| Knights Solve Crosscutters, 5-3 | Kingwood Knights starter Iwane Kanda pitched a strong game against the Williamsport Crosscutters at Stable Park, leading the Knights to a 5-3 win. Bryan Marks earned his 27th save in 35 chances. The Knights bumped their record to 69-69 with this latest triumph.
The Knights got a big at-bat from left fielder Tobias Garcia. For the game, Garcia was 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 2nd hit of the season gave Kingwood a 3-2 lead.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Kanda.
