| Mustangs Get Close Win Over Lake Monsters | The San Angelo Mustangs got a stellar performance from pitcher Victor Benavirez, who handcuffed the Okanagan offense en route to a 3-0 win at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. In 8 innings, Benavirez surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for San Angelo.
William Horst drove in one run for San Angelo. The 24-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Aaron Lentz. It was his 56th RBI of the season.
