Saints Turn Back Victoria, 4-2 | The St. Paul Saints got a stellar performance from pitcher Ruben Abreu, who handcuffed the Victoria offense en route to a 4-2 win at The drakkar. Kevin Hargrove earned his 18th save in 24 chances. The Saints bumped their record to 80-57 with this latest triumph.
Steve Warfel aided the St. Paul cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth. For the game, the catcher went 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Warfel. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
