| Vikings Score Late, Top Black Squirrels, 4-2 | The Dublin Vikings took Tree City pitcher Larry Sceviour's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Valhalla Summit. The final score had Dublin getting past the Black Squirrels, 4-2. Sceviour went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run, striking out 6. The Vikings have now won 5 straight.
The Vikings were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when third baseman Franklin Onofre turned a 1-1 splitter from Chris Long into a 3-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Dublin a thrilling 4-2 win.
After the game, Dublin manager Mike Bergeron applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
