In a tight contest between the Nichols Gnats and the Ocala Knights, Matt Badgley was the determining factor. The Nichols right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. Harry Fielding closed it out for Nichols, earning his 20th save. With the win, the Gnats have a record of 54-81.

Eduardo Valencia aided the Nichols cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman went 2-2 with a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Valencia told the Nichols Times.
