A 3-RBI performance from Adam Dixon helped the Chippewa River Chiefs beat the Okanagan Lake Monsters, 10-2. Ralph Petsche, the winner, improved to 5-6. He held the Lake Monsters to no runs on 2 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 3. The 4th-place River Chiefs have won 4 straight games.

Andres Jaimes had a big 2-run triple for the River Chiefs in the top of the first inning. With Chippewa leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 19-year old right-handed pitcher Lonnie Newcomb and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the River Chiefs ahead, 4-0.

"Not the preferred outcome," Okanagan manager Landy Lu said, when asked afterward about the game.
