Loss to Lake Monsters Extends Ocala Losing Streak
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Okanagan Lake Monsters and the Ocala Knights, Jorge Alegria, who is tied for 6th in the THA in quality starts with 13, proved to be the difference. The Okanagan right-hander earned props for his performance in the 1-0 Lake Monsters win. Jorge Ramirez notched his 33rd save in 37 chances. With the victory, the Lake Monsters record stands at 75-58.
Juan Martinez drove in one run for Okanagan. The 21-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Josh Prudhomme. It was his 105th RBI of the season.
Afterward, Ocala manager Alexis Coates said: "We were guessing wrong on pitches, and that's something we've got to get away from."
