| Lake Monsters Edge Jedi Knights, 4-3 | The Okanagan Lake Monsters defeated the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 4-3, at Elks Stadium. Okanagan designated hitter Herbert Howe was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Raul Arenas in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Trent Gahan took the loss. The Lake Monsters, now 85-49, have won 5 in a row.
Howe contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Okanagan in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Howe took a fastball from Trent Gahan and stroked the home run to left. His 14th home run of the season allowed the Lake Monsters to leap in front, 4-2.
"It feels good to get this one," Howe told the Okanagan Times.
