Hawaii had no answer for West Island Jazz starter Ken Aubin, who flummoxed Honu hitters as the Jazz cruised to victory, 7-1. The winner was Aubin. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Bobby Gilmore. The Honu, at 25-38, have lost 4 in a row.

John Bernstein had a big 2-run double for the Jazz in the bottom of the fifth inning. With West Island leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from Bobby Gilmore, who is tied for 4th in the TML in complete games with 2, and swatted a double to center. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Jazz ahead, 3-0.
