The Montreal Jazz trumped the Bloomington Blazers, 6-5, at Arson Arena. Montreal right fielder Alex Madera was terrific. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Vitaliano Baldato snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 2.1 innings. He's now 3-1 on the season. Montreal now owns a record of 30-23.

Had Tony Jimenez not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Jimenez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Jazz.

"Right now, things are falling our way," said Montreal manager Pedro Gonzáles.
